The Technology & Innovation (T&I) Senior Engineer performs tasks and projects in support of the development and implementation on new alloys, technologies, and manufacturing processes. This includes material and processes currently used by PAC and those under development or consideration. This individual must be able to both manage projects as well as be a project principal investigator. Coordination between operations and research is a key responsibility as well as monitoring and supporting the launch of new products and processes. Customer support responsibilities would include both visits to the customer and project support for specific customer needs. Lean Sigma tools would be used for all projects following appropriate safety and ethical guidelines. You Will Have the Opportunity To:
Comply with and support all EH&S activities while operating in a safe, honest and ethical manner Lead Stage Gate project activities through performing manufacturing processes and testing Lead several mid-size to large projects within the plant simultaneously; in-plant focused but may at times support cross-plant opportunities. Projects linked to multiple products or technologies Lead projects that have external or direct customer contact Manage product ownership from ideation to commercialization Help identify both potential projects for cost savings and new product opportunities Provide technical support to internal and external customers Self-directed and provides communication and updates to T&I Management including detailed writeups of completed projects Ensure that safety and process hazard reviews are conducted for new or modified equipment and procedures Conduct customer visits as needed Provide mentorship and coaching to junior engineers with fewer years of experience of different areas of expertise Up to 25-30% travel may be required based on business need. REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors' degree in engineering, physical sciences or materials science field (e.g. Metallurgy, Ceramics or Materials Science); Masters or Doctorate in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Materials Science field preferred Minimum of 6 years of professional technical experience Demonstrates specific areas of expertise Demonstrated ability to successfully lead technical and/or design projects and teams Keep current in their field of expertise; Achieve LS Black Belt certification Experience including data acquisition or design, materials/chemical processing technology Semiconductor or sputtering experience preferred
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Physical SciencesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
